How To Bake A Plain Tea Cake 

In this blog we'll bake a tea cake , This is my favorite recipe because it taste as its form a bakery and also because my homie Chef Hafsa gave me this recipe. I know it's not a birthday cake you guys are looking for baking  but I love plain tea cake and this is one of the most soft & fluffy tea cake you can bake...

Just imagine when take a bite of perfect baked buttery soft cake that melt into your mouth...... It's pure pleasure from a baked tea cake...

You can have/serve it with whipped cream or fruits of your choice, otherwise it's taste good....

Recipe from: Chef Hafsa

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Plain flour (maida)
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 4 Eggs (room temp)
  • 1,3/4 cups Sugar
  • 113 grams (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Milk ( I used full fat milk)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 180C, for 10 minutes and grease cake tin ( I used 8 inch loaf tin along with butter paper).
  • Sieve together plain flour and baking powder.
  • With an electric beater, beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract together.
  • Add flour and milk.
  • Pour the batter into pre-heat tin and bake in pre-heat oven for 45 min.
  • Let the cake rest in cake tin for 10 mins and transfer onto a serving plate, once the cake is cooled completely slice & serve.

Instructions

Notes:

I recommend using a wide & deep tin for baking tea cake.
The baking time may depend on the oven or size of the tin you are using.
